The exhibition, Christopher Pyett: symphony in colour represented works that span the notable 44-year career of a Tasmanian artist who is well known for his vibrant and evocative watercolours and designs for tapestries.
Pyett held his first solo exhibition in 1966 at The Little Gallery in Devonport, run by Jean Thomas.
The exhibition, curated by Georgia Rouette, included both paintings and tapestries from private and public collections including work held in Devonport Regional Gallery’s Permanent Collection.
