TRANSIT: ROSS BYERS SOLO COMMISSION

Ross Byers was the recipient of the Gallery’s 2013 Solo Commission. Dreamtime and playfulness are two key driving forces in Byers sculptural work which are realised in eclectic sculptural pieces. The Launceston-based artist created an exhibition based on an ongoing interest in architectural spaces. The large scale sculptural pieces made from cardboard responded to the notion of ‘place’ as both a stationary yet transitory space.
