Intimate and Distant Landscape is a painting exhibition that brings together the
work of five artists who are based throughout Australia. Each artist will be exhibiting
landscape work that describes a place familiar to them with a dual perceptive of
distance and intimacy. This will provide the audience with an idea of the artists
chosen area and a unique insight into the personal connection it plays with the
individual.
The artists; Jon Cattapan, Sue Lovegrove, Jonathan Kimberley, Dorothy Napangardi
and Judy Watson, live in vastly different types of environments, showcasing the
diversity of landscapes our country has to offer; from the city, to the bush, from
the desert to the coast.
Intimate and Distant Landscape will run from the 17th of March to 15th of April.
